The largest island of the Canary archipelago with a shape resembling an irregular triangle or a duck with an outstretched neck is a place of coexistence of many seemingly irreconcilable opposites. It’s been like this for a long period of time. One of these cases are differences in climate that are especially noticeable when traveling from the southern part of Tenerife to its northern area and vice versa. If you want to enjoy the warmth, it would be convenient to spend the vacation on the southern tip of the island; however, sunbathing is definitely not the only thing that you can do on Tenerife: those of you who have an active spirit and have, say, an ambition to climb the highest mountain in Spain, have to make a trip to the very heart of the island, a home of the volcanic peak of Mount Teide which is still slightly smoldering.
