About this collection

Photographs in this collection contain various representatives of the animal kingdom having their home in two zoological and botanical parks on the largest of the Canary Islands - Tenerife. Both parks offer many possibilities for a daylong family fun that consists in meeting face to face with exotic fauna.

Loro Parque, located on the outskirts of Puerto de la Cruz and founded in 1972, will make you hold your breath during marine mammal shows with stars such as playful killer whales, sea lions and dolphins. In addition, the park has beautiful exhibitions of jaguars, alligators, gorillas and different species of sharks.

In order to live up to its name, Jungle Park invites its visitors to come and explore extensive exhibits on the grounds not far from the Los Cristianos beach comprising big cats, primates and all sorts of exotic and predatory birds.
