About this collection

This collection takes you to three south African countries - the Republic of South Africa, Namibia and the Kingdom of Lesotho. My journey began in Johannesburg, the largest city of South Africa. From there I went on to the province of Mpumalanga, where I became part of the lives of local farmers and of an indigenous tribe called Zulu. After that, my steps led to the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world. Through Swaziland, I continued along the coast of South Africa towards the Indian Ocean to the Cape Vidal Park. The highlight of the whole trip was a visit of the Drakensberg Mountains and the fabulous kingdom of Lesotho. My journey ended in Namibia. There, I spent some time in the territory of the Herero tribe, then in the Etosha National Park and eventually, I arrived to the Atlantic coast. The red desert of Sossusvlei was the last part of my pilgrimage that was full of adventure.

This journey to Africa allowed me to get to know not only the beauty of the African nature and the culture of the countries I visited, but also the beauty of the human soul. Thanks to encounters with the indigenous inhabitants I found equal partners for talks about traveling, traditions and food, but also about spiritual and life issues, shamanism, meditation and love at any point of my trip. The color of skin and the cultural differences don't matter. Inside, we are all the same human beings with the same needs and desires, the same kind of perception and feelings.

After almost ten years of exploring many countries and meeting so many interesting people, I began to organize my photographs and storie...
